Foscam Surveillance Pro App Reviews

Tried a few apps for Fosc cameras. This is IMHO the best one available. My only suggestion is that future releases allow local and remote address at the same time.

I was happy with the old app, so I paid for this new version expecting it to be better. Instead, I found 2 problems: 1. It is not as forgiving with camera support. One of my cameras is a Foscam-clone (TenvisJPT3815W) which worked fine using Foscam 8918W setting on the old app. It gets hung on querying camera controls on this new app. 2) if listening to another apps audio, the old app would allow the audio to play, unless you explicitly turned on the camera audio. The new audio always interrupt other audio, even when cameras are muted. This forces me to stop listened, while peeking at a camera, then switch back to the other app and restart my music/audiobook. The user support for this is poor; yet, they beg you to not write negative reviews.

I reviewed the app a few months ago and gave it a good review because I saw potential. Here we are, quite a long time down the road and the flaws back then are still flaws now. The today screen being gray for the cameras no matter what I do (not an issue until a couple months ago), buzzing when I go into the app even though the sound is off and disabled in the app, unreliable connectability, and the way alerts are setup with Foscam and this app make alerts unreliable too. I dod send issues to Foscam as they request us to do but that was some time ago. Ill stick with Security Spy and Remote Patrol; far superior app combo.

Excellent remote viewing and control for your cameras. Easy setup and use. Good updates and very stable.

The app is useless because the password field does not allow symbols. I cant even use it to see a camera. Of course for security reasons it makes sense to use lots of combinations including symbols in the passwords.

This app is simply amazing!!! You wont be disappointed, get it ASAP!

I havent used all the features but it seems to be a reliable way to view and control a Foscam wireless camera.

I used this app for quite awhile as a baby monitor. Over the past few months though the app will fail to transmit sound- either turning that feature off or just not transmitting it in the first place. While the picture quality is good I can no longer use it because I need the sound to work, otherwise I have to rely on my child screaming loud enough that I hear her though closed doors.

We have a camera in the living room and weve been using this app for over a year now - never had any problems, its so easy to use and has some advanced features that I really like - you can speak through the camera for instance. Great app, highly recommended!

Love this app. Had a real difficult time getting a stable app to work with the new foscam hd cameras. This one has worked solid as a rock.

Purchased the latest Foscam camera, and this app does not support it. Emailed the seller, and no response. Do not want to use Foscams own app, but this does not work.

I can watch (and listen to) my office from anywhere. No problems in the last 2 years.

Ive been using this app for over a year and have never had any problems. It does everything I need it to and does it well!
